Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath
Jesus and his disciples cross a wheat field on a Sabbath (April 5, AD 31, in Galilee). The Pharisees accuse them of violating Sabbath law. Jesus replies by citing David's example and affirms his absolute authority: the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. He denounces the distortions of Pharisaic interpretation, opposed to the original spirit of Mosaic law, and claims the right to restore the true Sabbath.
1 Samuel 21.1-5 (King James Version) :Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?NoteAhimelech: also called AhiahNotepresent: Heb. foundNoteyea…: or, especially when this day there is other sanctified in the vesselAnd David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place. Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present. And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org

The Messiahship of Jesus
At the Temple court in Jerusalem, on the Tuesday before his Passion, Jesus questions the Pharisees about the identity of the Messiah. Citing Psalm 110, he reveals that the Messiah is both Son of David according to the flesh and eternal Lord according to his divinity, confounding his opponents, who are left without an answer. A fundamental Christological statement about the dual nature of Jesus.
Mark 12.35-37 (King James Version) :And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org

The exact number of generations in Matthew?

John 3.16-17 (King James Version) :For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org -

Would Jesus inherit David's throne?

Sadducees
The Sadducees were an aristocratic and priestly group of ancient Judaism (200 BC – AD 70), controlling the Temple of Jerusalem and the Sanhedrin. They accepted only the Pentateuch, and denied the resurrection of the dead and the existence of angels. Mentioned fifteen times in the New Testament, they played a key role in the condemnation of Jesus, notably through Caiaphas and Anna. Their disappearance coincides with the destruction of the Temple in AD 70.
Acts 23.6 (King James Version) :But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org
