Withering of the fig tree
Dans Matthieu et Marc, Jésus maudit un figuier pour enseigner la foi et la prière. Sa parole dessèche l'arbre, illustrant la puissance de la foi. Marc insiste aussi sur l'importance du pardon. Les deux récits, bien que divergents dans l'ordre des événements, partagent le même enseignement central : la foi et la prière peuvent accomplir des merveilles si elles sont vécues sans douter.
